Full disclosure: I did not check if somebody already covered this song. I want to write about this song regardless. 

In my view, this is one of the finest songs sang by Raja. 'Chandhirarum Sooriyarum' from Avatharam.

Why do I consider this song so special?

As a composer, Raja has composed several hundred waltz songs. Somebody else will sing it and he is the one who ensures that everything is in place. In this song, he is the composer and the singer. So what? 

The song requires the singer to sing like an innocent villager who is not a musical expert. However, the musical expert Raja, composes this song and hands it over to another Raja, who is an innocent villager. The orchestration of this song is very interesting - it is waltz set to an old era of stage shows. The innocent Raja never misses the beat. It's no wonder when the expert Raja does that. On top of it, the innocent Raja throws his voice with 'Ho... Hoi'.



Playing a two headed guy, one the expert and the other who is innocent is extremely hard. Raja comes out with flying colors. It is easy to make the audience to cry or dance based on a tune. However, cleverly hiding your expertise is no easy job.
