Vaanampaadi koodu thedum - Movie: Thalaiyanai Mandhiram (1984). I vaguely remember listening to it on AIR. After that, when I found this on Kadar Majee's YouTube channel, the tune was still fresh in the mind. Light classical melody.

To continue on the same line, here is another one from the movie "Kann sivandhaal mann sivakkum". I love the "raw" factor in IR voice. He did not claim to be in the same league as a SPB or a KJY. But the emotion he could bring to the plate is amazing. After all, he is the creator; so he knows better.

Never heard it before. Thanks for the link. Both seem to be released in the same year. So, TM is either a remake of that Telugu movie, or this song tune was reused in Tamil.

This one is a pathos song in the voice of IR from the 2017 Malayalam movie "Clint". This is the song which he talked about in a Malayalam channel interview.

Though this movie also has another good song 'Olathin melathaal' beautifully rendered by SG, "Vaanil etho" song puts you in a state of depression even if you are in a state of happiness!
