If he is indeed coming [which I very much doubt given the recent illness etc.] it won't be a one-off. He will certainly do more than one concert in North America.

If IF true - I think we all ought to meet up 

LA - I am not sure. With a super expensive flight ticket getting added to the budget.

Rest of the legs not confirmed.. this one for sure is confirmed..

I wish Raja gives priority to his health rather than accepting these concerts that demand a hectic tour and rehearsals.

True, but at this point of time of his life, this instrumental work - i.e. if genuine, with a Hollywood symphony orchestra, for a worthy movie - is probably better for him / his health - than visiting Prasad daily and work for Madurai themed movies for weeks and months, getting poorly paid etc...often for never-releasing ones.

அதன் முதலீடு, வருமானம், அது இது என்று பலரும் பலவிதமாக விமர்சித்தாலும், திருவாளர் பொதுஜனத்துக்கு ஒரு இசைப்பொக்கிஷம் கிடைத்தது என்பது வரலாற்று உண்மை.

அது போல, வெளி வரும் ஒன்றுக்காக உழைத்தால் அவருக்கு நிறைவாக இருக்கும் என்று தோன்றுகிறது.

Agree completely. Instead of wasting precious effort in poosaris /narikuravas and involving in dynamics behind these intellectual rights issue,
any musical pursuit that kindles his creativity, that befits his vast knowledge
is most welcome.
Recently "Swapnam" gave such an elevating experience.

I vehemently condemn the elitist undertones here.. 
Kida pusari magudi songs are a breeze and in no way beneath the misty eyed reverence you anoint for swapnam.
Raaja has been and always will be this guy who does this rope walking trick with all kinds of puristically delights on one end of the stick and 
earthy local tracks on the other end. If we can't accept it, then we will never find our peace with Raaja.

The MD was GKV and the album had a SPB-VJ duet that was popular on radios those days...

Nice find app. The song is "mANikka mAmaNi mAlaiyil" , a haunting melody. It used to be my mom's fav song then.

Justin draws inspiration from several musicians. “My biggest inspirations in the industry are maestro Ilayaraja and A.R. Rahman. Each time I hear Chinna Thambi album I travel back in time. The music haunts me even today even though I was only six when it was released,” says the 29-year-old today.
