So it seems even his participation in flood relief activities is giving vazuthuyerichal to 'the camp' so they deliberately provoked him into giving a curt reply by asking him about some nonsense simpu song at the press meet where he was to distribute relief material.  It's on watsapp and it's so transparent even my mum who is not clued into mafia v/s vazuthuyerichal wars can see right through it.  In fact she told me about the whole incident.

She also mentioned how Srinivas takes subtle digs at IR in Super Singer as after a performance of an MSV song filmed on Rajni, he said to the effect idhudhan MSV, genius-ku la thevai ilai, he goes straight to the masses such that they can understand.  Balderdash!  But they really need to try harder at being subtle else now everyone can see through it.

Here is a towering genius, a true son of the soil displaying unadulterated human empathy and compassion for his fellow people. He wasn't doing it for political mileage, not for promoting an upcoming release, not for the cameras, not with other petty motives or agendas. You would think this would move even his most malicious critics. But no. A perfectly justifiable retort to a despicably inapppropriate and insensitive question by a third rate journo becomes an excuse for every Raja hater and anti-Raja camp to gang up and spew the most vitriolic and hate-filled posts and comments. 
The worst are the poseurs like gnani and contrarian who have no talent and think themselves intellectuals just because they have read a lot of books and have an opinion on every topic under the sun, when in reality all they possess on most subjects is a superficial understanding and above-average vocabulary. Contrarian and his fans have been having a field day. From saying IR isn't even a musician, to calling him an outright fraud and criminal to questioning his double standards vis-a-vis his being outraged about beep song while composing mukkal munagal paadals himself. One of the book title that I love is 'Lexus and the Olive Tree' by Thomas Friedman. Ignoring all the crap in the media, let's focus on the 'Lexus'.

I have been doing some heads down work and I need Raja to be in the background for such tasks.

I created a collection of the best of Raja in the 21st century and I have more than 120 songs (given that I am ruthless about my selection of tracks).

How many composers out there can contribute to 120 plus songs in 15 years? This does not include any of his 21st century BGMs that I love (Cheeni Kum, ASK, OAK, Pazhassi Raja, Nandalala, Rudramadevi, Pithamagan, Naan KadavuL, Sri Rama Rajyam).

Only his music quality will speak loud now and later...

Wow! unimaginable by any means. Hatred to this extreme?

எந்த மாதிரி சமூகத்தில் வாழ்கிறோம் என்று நினைத்து பார்த்தாலே வெட்கி தலை குனிய வேண்டியிருக்கு. உட்டா அவர கொலையே பண்ணிவிடுவார் போல அப்படி ஒரு வெறுப்பு, வன்மம் அகங்காரம், பழி உணர்ச்சி. பாவம் அப்படி அந்த மனுஷன் அவங்களை என்னதான் பண்ணுனார்னு தெரியல. மார்க்கெட்டில் இல்லாத ஒரு இசையமைப்பளரை 23 வருஷமா எந்த ஒரு இயக்குனரும்/தயாரிப்பாளரும் தேடித் தேடித் தன படங்களுக்கு நீங்கதான் இசையமைக்க வேண்டும் என்று கேட்கும் நிர்பந்தம் இல்லை என்று இவர்களுக்கு தெரியவில்லை போலிருக்கு. 23 வருஷமா தமக்கு தாமே, சீக்கிரம் பீல்ட் அவுட் ஆயிடுவார், சீக்கிரம் பீல்ட் அவுட் ஆயிடுவார்.... (x n times) என்று கண்ட பகல் கனவு பலிக்கவில்லை. திருப்பித்  திருப்பி அதை சொல்வதினாலாவது அப்படி ஏதாவது நடந்து விடாதா என்ற பகல் கனவுதான். இப்படியே பகல் கனவு காணவேண்டியதுதான். அப்துல் கலாம் சொன்னத இவங்க தப்பா புரிஞ்சிகிட்டங்க போல இருக்கு.

The video very clearly shows that how and what all happened. The reporters (none of them) were interested to even listen/understand to what he is speaking. The guy who asked that foolish question has been clearly informed by his superior/editor to disrupt the proceedings. He was anxiously waiting when Maestro would finish his speech. At the next fraction of second, he delivers this question. It was well-planned, pre-meditated "poison" question, not even considering the situation, his age and health. Absolutely zero ethics. At the spur of such a question, even those who talked against Maestro will retort to only such (or even worse) a question back. It is a totally non-issue and the only issue to the media and reporters on how, when and where to ask correct questions and how to behave to such a rare genius and treasure of nation. None realized what stupid and biggest sin they have committed. Do they have guts to ask such a question to anyone else in power? Totally surprised and shocked that Maestro is targeted rather than the media. Seems like everyone got a golden chance to attack him. What a pity! It is even more surprising, none from the film industry nor any one close to him spoke for Maestro. Very sad to hear and even seriously contemplating the future of TN and its idiocy.

Actually GA had come in strong support for IR. Told in his FB very strong words, even advising the media to go ask the relatives of the nut cases i.e. Rajni (Anirudh) and TR (Simbu).

He has also given a detailed interview on indiaglitz, mostly in the lines of true IRFs.

OTOH, JV has acted like a crook - even trying to get some publicity by doing a drama.

Sarath Kumar is another offender who condemned IR when press asks him a twisted a question. (He could have easily escaped - being a politician - telling I need to see the full video / understand the situation and only then can comment etc. Instead, he simply takes side with the press - basically another fellow with zero appreciation for the genius from his industry)

Other than these few cases, most others seem to have a "kaLLa mounam" and poor KR is left to give a statement asking his father to be left alone.

Actually thozhar from Hub who is a big Rahman fan also spoke up praising IR for sticking it to that idiot reporter.  So irrespective of the media and some haters attempts to only focus on his angry retort without context, IR has won the hearts of a lot of people and (at least it would appear) they are with him.  Actions ultimately speak louder than words and the courage and selflessness of a 70 plus person wading through the flood waters to bring much needed relief will never go unappreciated.

I have never had much respect for Tamil magazines(the likes of Kumudam, Vikatan etc.) and media. And in the last 10-15 yrs or so incidents like these only seem to reinforce that opinion. "Presstitutes" is right for some of these guys. Look at how they conducted temselves during that whole Ranjitha-Nityanand episode. Glad that at least his brother came to his support.
