Vinyl ("LP" record) covers speak about IR (Pictures & Details) - Thamizh

LP cover of Thalattu Padava. I think the entire album is one to cherish for years. The LP Cover just had Ilaiyaraaja's face and title of the movie with credits to direcotr and producers.

This says there are about 768 disk covers for IR, in Tamil alone.

The images are of decent quality as well.

Need to dig and find if there are any that we already have not collected

Got a rare CD cover pic from that "mossymart" website, during my search for SPB songs from 80's for another thread.

Interestingly, none of the movie names / songs are anywhere in my memory (though both are IR albums and are documented in Anbu sir's spreadsheet)

Got it from Mossymart. Eru Mayil Eri is the same tune as Maanguyile Poonguyile

There is one vinyl "nARkAlikkanavugaL" for sale at Mossymart.com - but the songs are not listed in Anbu sir's spreadsheet. 

Not sure if anyone of our fellow forumers had a chance to hear these songs...

It is indeed there and it was my miss that I didn't search it properly. Actually, I have even talked about this in the "IR Hit History" thread in this post:

And then didn't find any hit song and accordingly no song got added into the hits...however, the album itself was mentioned and reviewed!

I have been searching for this album cover for a long time.  Finally found it!

I don't have Vinyl covers for the below Tamil albums.  Any help would be great!

Let us begin with the "lovers / deivathin theerpu" dubbed movie's sleeves

ANdAn adimai sleeves helped identify who the lyricist was for each of the songs correctly (and proved wikipedia to be incorrect and also that the information provided by Sony on YT upload is wrong as well).

Here are the audio sleeves for that movie - which were earlier presented in the pulavar thread but getting them here as the comprehensive repository!

Adding the pictures sent by Anbu Sir for an obscure album "kaNNA unnai thEdukiREn" where Pulavar Pulamaipithan has written two songs!
(Of course, I will be covering them with detailed lyrics whenever I can, in the appropriate thread)...

Great work Mr. app_engine and others involved. Am new to this forum. I discovered this thread nearly 2 years back randomly during the start of the lockdown. For somebody born in the 90's (90's kid in today's internet jargon), all the info in this thread is new and fascinating. Got to know a lot of interesting and surprising facts through this thread (the fact that there some movies ran solely on the power of IR's songs is something surprising to me)

There is no count on how many times I have gone through this thread in the past 2 years. Reading this entire thread gives me the feeling of having read a good engrossing book. Am also going through the other threads in this forum whenever I find time. Keep up the great work!!!
