A humble take on the venomous serpent and a nobody called Ratnakumar's notorious "interview" with the cheeky yellow media channel's owner:

I had to look up as to who the casteist crook was; that is how insignificant he is!  And the crook has done a movie with IR just 8 years before (OMG!).  I could not get digest the "hate propaganda" against IR.  This is a well-planned SMEAR campaign (happening time and again ONLY with IR).   I could only imagine how much vitriol he would have poured on IR behind his back, throughout his useless career.  CL and his gossip-mongering channel have ALWAYS targeted IR - given that every few videos there, have IR name or image as click-bait thumbnails.  I have even put down CL's arrogance in some videos (the more recent being, an idiot asking about IR talking at the launch of his studio with CL condemning how IR replied to the stupid press, which they deserved IMHO). 
 
CL's high-handedness and audacity tells me there is MORE to such videos and that he certainly has the "BACKING" of bigger fish from the industry.  Even more despicable is the fact that he disabled commenting.  SHAME on the channel's subscribers to make it successful and profitable venture for CL.  His subscribers have enabled him to commit this disgraceful act and also made him assume he is some kind of a cinema-intellectual!  

CL does not bat an eyelid to "prod" the guest into talking about IR; but, much to his chagrin, most guests (except a couple of them) had only NICE things to say/share about IR, his music and his real-good heart (NOT faux-humility).  This fact would have irked CL so much so that this time he wins his elusive jackpot and he is NOT going to let it slip easily by editing out the superfluous parts (IF at all CL was a decent human being).  His videos' comment section is usually addressing him as "sir" and praising his "humility", "politeness", "answer-extracting ability", "PR skill" and "knowledge" by CL's "fans".  The videos I have watched for the sake of IR, were either full of misinformation or gossip or lack of facts or dumber answers to tons of dumbest questions from his loyal viewers; that way it is one-of-a-kind hilarious program! 
 
The likes of CL would not have survived if his dumb movies lacked that ONE aspect called ILAYARAJA MUSIC.  Despite all these, what I adore is how IR maintains/maintained his poise and continued to prosper in his career, crossing all these crooks like the dust on his feet, with a smile on his face.  And all I could do was to report the video to YouTube.  But what is the point if only a few like me are going to do it?  I will make sure I leave a strong comment in his recent video, no matter if it is unrelated to IR.  But the only consolation so far is that the video has more dislikes than likes, though I don't understand if there are millions of IR fans, why there are only a few hundred dislikes.  And CL is cheeky enough to release the part-2 of the disgusting interview.  Nothing seems to deter him.

The bigger image or question is WHY is all this ugliness and image-tarnishing happening ONLY with IR?  Remember the so-called movie that is synonymous with "music"?  Remember the umpteen number of incidents (every single time IR tries to do something productive, including his recent studio launch event) where IR name is dragged to dirt by all and sundry?  Isn't something fishy about all of these?

I would like to add a couple of things:

1. As clearly mentioned in your post, CL is the bigger culprit here - being the businessman peddling IR-hate to earn money. OTOH, Ratnakumar, IMO, in the "norm" in TN today, unfortunately, and not the exception - many do such things in a polished way, this fellow is just plain open and stupid, that's all. As one can painfully see in news items quite often and also observe the way state politics has shaped up starting from 80's and later.

2. While the YT is despicable, I want that to remain for public view, to historically understand the pain IR had to undergo thru out his career in the society he operated in. Also as to why he had to remain aloof to media most of the time (or develop a protective-stiffness) to enable his dedication to music alone.  That way, history should declare how his achievements are not only despite disadvantages like remote village / less education / financially poor but more importantly his background of being part of a suppressed group of people and the ongoing industry aversions & conspiracies on that basis.

On CL's channel, let me add another observation (already tweeted about this) here as well :

Great point App.

To rise this high despite a caste infested society he is surrounded by is no mean achievement. 

We have to also learn to rise above such nonsense and focus only on his music. A few decades from now, all this crap will be forgotten and only his music will rule. I wish I was reborn then to experience the unadulterated music of Raja, the way we experience Tyagaraja or Bach or Mozart. Till then, we have to learn to have very strong filters to cut out such distractions.

1. Yes.  Such videos are becoming more and more common, sadly.  The negativity against IR is appalling and unsettling.

2. It is only obvious as to why IR keeps the media at bay.

3. I did watch the episode.  It was hilarious that, just for the sake of saying "no, it was some other issue", CL flashed the mean title.
