Someone tweeted that the HC judgement says what we've been often talking about (that IR's music carried many listless movies) & I thought people are simply exaggerating and decided to check it.

The judge is an Agmark IR fan! Those words "Otherwise eminently forgettable movies are made memorable by the outstanding musical scores they contain"! It is "literally" in black & white, stamped with the State Seal of approval! What more do we need?!

Now, this one down below is an interview with Soundaryan (I distinctly remember his songs: Chinna thangam enthan, Vaa vaa enthan, Kaadhal kaditham, Aathaadi enna and Samba naathu). He drags himself with IR whenever he refers to the past era. He keeps saying "naanga", "enga" etc. Ahem, no comments.

BUT he hits the nail right on the head with respect to IR's "controversies" - Royalty, Copyrights and "Aanmai" - all of which were blown out of proportion and MADE into "controversies" by the arrogant and ignorant people and of course, the negative-news-hungry media.

He says the "youth music icon" Hiphop Tamizha did not get permission before using his song and that he did not get his due royalty from channels when they played his songs. Genuine concern.

Somebody in the comment section has expressed what I wanted to. If he could say he is a genius, and claims for a stake which I'm SURE will be welcomed by the SAME set of people who cried foul at IR even when he sneezed, why shouldn't IR do it?

IR's music for Documentary "India 24 hours". This is just one of the many in the series. Wish the series was on YouTube. :-(

I'm disgusted and intrigued by how all good things (or news) about IR are either taken down or eclipsed, while the false negative news on him is doing well.

There was a video called "Ilayaraja, the legend" where someone compiled several praises by various personalities in the Indian industry. I'm disheartened to see that it was removed citing "copyrights" violation. And many more of such videos.

For all those who criticize Ilaiyaraaja being greedy, P Vasu's interview should add to dispel that notion where he states that Ilaiyaraaja told him that he was doing the movie free for them. P Vasu states that they insisted that he atleast accept Rs. 15,000 from them - this was at a time when Ilaiyaraaja was generally charging in Lakhs.

Similarly Sangili Murugan in an interview recently stated that Ilaiyaraaja did Sangili Murugan's first 3 movies for free and all of them had songs that were super hits. Similarly Pratap has stated that Ilaiyaraaja did his first movie Aathma for free.

I hope the ignorant people who criticize Ilaiyaraaja are aware of the facts.
