Yes it is good in way that CA people wanted it separately. I heard from some of Telugu friends here that they were not happy last time with the concerts of Raja as they were (falsely) marketed that there will be equal number of thamizh and telugu songs, but it turned out to be more of thamizh songs and lot of communication happened thamizh which pissed them off. I understand their problem, but apart from general communication (which is definitely a problem as we would not understand what they were trying to communicate), I would not have any problems musically if the entire concert was for only Telugu songs.

Are the dates and venue confirmed for the rest of the US concerts?  I see ticketing also available only for San Jose concert.

It looks like New Jersey tickets are available now.  Not sure why the DC one does not have any ticket sales yet.

Yes, the San Jose tickets have been live for a while.  Also, New Jersey is available on ticketmaster - the rest of the venues are missing.  Not sure whether to wait or book one of these cities.

Orchestra 

Had the privilege of attending both the concert of Raaja, over the weekend in San Jose. Orchestra was top notch, as usual. Excellent song selection with very little overlap between the telugu and tamil concerts. Above all, glad to see Raaja relaxed and enjoying the show 

Please attend the east coast concerts, if you are nearby. Do not miss the opportunity!

(Nerd has posted in twitter some pictures of "setting up / rehearsal" sessions in Dallas - a special privilege indeed to be inside such a special place).

Thank you Mavurundai for the Harmonium picture!  Is this the one IR has been using for decades?!!
Thanks to others for letting us know that you attended one/more concerts.  I have a question for those who attended any of these concerts - were you allowed to take in a Digital SLR camera (what many consider "professional" cameras)?  I plan on attending the NJ concert and want to be prepared.  Some venues say all types of cameras are banned inside these auditoriums.  I thought of taking at least a small point and shoot as I am never happy with cell phone pics.  I would really appreciate if someone who attended any of these concerts writes about the camera policy at these events.  Many thanks!

When i watched "tharai thappatai" for some reason i felt and started relating the "saami pulavan" character in the movie seems to mimic rajas devotion to music minus the drinking. Saami pulavan likes authentic pure music, not worried about anybody's praise,talent, bad temper. I wondered even if Bala portrayed character such a way to resemble raja (or part of raja ) way of thinking when it comes to music. I have heard and seen crowd get warned "No whistle" and artists get yelled if they miss stuff.

Looks like "idarinum" he sings with so much emotions connects himself (for lyrics) and connects audience as if the song is for him. I even get more suspicious if this song itself is written for him in the movie.(written by him)

In middle of first interlude can see raja bit disturbed by some goof up by somebody (Tabla person i think) and in 5:50 was shocked to see the outburst !

I think the whole song he sings emotionally connecting himself with lyrics and around 5:35 above he signs to cutoff the music to connect the lyrics with his hand signs (i beleive the audience seem to connect with lyrics with him and clapping and musicians may be as well ) then after few seconds he sings to start again (where i think tabla fails to see the sign may he himself was closely watching what he sings and connecting to lyrics) and simply yells back at the tabla ! Being raja fan i feel perfection on his terms and standards is required for him but that innocent mistake and unwanted outburst is not warranted for his status
