Help finding a movie

I watched the starting clip of this movie but could not continue it. It was a late 80s Tamil movie with IR music.

It started with different shots of the heroine performing in a band. There was a western-based song or BGM with all the funky light effects of that period. The movie title also seemed to be something related to music (isai, paatu etc.)

Hope someone can help me recollect it.

Thanks for checking. Vivek was not there in the opening scenes. Just checked the movie now and it is not the one I saw. It may have been a heroine introduction song to start.

Yes, looking for the name of the movie.

Based on a few YouTube searches, it seems quite likely the movie I saw was Paadu Nilaave (1987).

OMG!  I was about to suggest 3 movies: Thendral Sudum (of course), Rettai Vaal Kuruvi (where Radhika is a singer), and Paadu Nilaave (Nadhiya being a singer).  Glad you found it so soon.

I have watched Paadu Nilaave, but seriously don't have any memory of your description.  Good to know about your compilation; please share it here if and when done.  The "organization" when it comes to IR music is a huge headache, even if it is a simple playlist.
