i think ding dong rappappo by Mano from VaLLi(rajini's film) had repeat interludes, recalling from memory, that guitar bit..

kaattu vazhi kaalnadaiya is a short song from adhu oru kanaa kaalam, so this may not count, but still it had repeating lude piece...

Actually that will count ( if you look at the whole list, most are such songs only)

one more in case not already registered.. a very decent lullaby by SPB/SJ from Magudam, a Sathyaraj film of early 90s had repeat interludes..

I remember reading somewhere that certain sessions musicians werent available for the recording of this song, and so IR had re-arranged the ludes with whatever instruments like mandolin and flute and others which were available on that day. That could maybe partly explain the reptetition. This song will also fit into the 7/8 rhythm pattern songs of IR thread..

Just noticed that the director of this film was Pratap Pothen..even in his forgettable films he got songs like this..a 'preferred' customer of IR I guess :-)
