Lovely beginning. There are some songs which.. no matter how much they are dissected, it is not excessive. This is indeed one such, in which, as you rightly say, not one note, heck not one moment of silence is superfluous. Indeed that is the reason why IR is addictive - there is, in many cases, not one redundant note, not one moment in the song that feels contrived or overcooked.
