Some people have a complex (or commercial compulsion) to include an ARR reference in the same line as IR reference, whenever their writing is supposed to be about WCM or ICM (as if both these two men were comparable in these schools)...

I have not heard the Telugu version of this song. However, based on a number of other Telugu songs that I've heard on raajafm.com in recent years, I'm not a fan of PS's "remake-Telugu" songs at all. For example, I could not appreciate the Telugu versions of Johny songs at all

I'm not talking about the compositions - which we know are all platinum. Taking about the singing alone, if Thamizh originals are gold (even with Jency / Sujatha kinds), the Telugu remakes are iron / aluminium level only, IMHO.

Also, this article talks about IR giving PS only tough songs (that other singers will struggle to sing). I beg to disagree (even if the statement is attributed to IR himself). While it could be true for a few songs (pAda vandhadho gAnam, E thenRalE ini nALum pAda vA), there are others where PS had struggled to deliver (and I'm 200% sure SJ would have easily handled them). e.g. muththu maNi mAla. (BTW, this wasn't tough for a start-up singer for a cover version).

I'm a big fan of PS myself, both the sweet kural and the singing (told many times hers is "HMV - his mother's voice" to me )  

OTOH, I'll vehemently oppose the statement that IR gave her only such songs that others cannot deliver

Best thing about IR music is that the discovery & excavations never end!  You just keep on digging for more and you never end up disappointed.  After I found a song on Kirubunathi's YouTube channel, some more search yielded this BENGALI album on Amazon.  After that, another video on YouTube.  I'm buying the Mp3 album.  

Very SWEET of the duo singers that they credited the Maestro with his photo and name on the front cover of the album!  Just annoyed by the misspelled name on the album. Is it so hard to rightly spell the name?  BUT, Maestro's official channel itself has misspelled his name sometimes .  So, I cannot blame Bengalis doing it.
