However, it would be petty to carry those grouses and use this opportunity to hit back at the new-age, holy cow MDs. Therefore, I will proceed to do exactly that

GV Prakash - nominated for his sheer mediocrity and new-age Devaness, in both being just about functional, and being shamelessly plagiarist. And this year, he was left behind in terms of even catchiness and popularity. I remember being annoyed by the Saguni quarter song even more than kolaveRi but I dont even remember it now.

Rest of them could be redeemed at various levels, though I still have not forgiven Anirudh for...well, not andrea, but kolaveRi.

Sachya - engeyum eppodhum

GVP will win it every single year without any competition ..

Kadal can run for the worst album for this year..

All said and done, other MDs don't get rated as highly as this 'waste management' fellow. Also, I don't get assaulted involuntarily by the outputs of any other MD as much today.

GVP songs are mostly unknown to me, so, he is not so much to be considered in the business of ratings. Though he is getting pushed on top 'there' by the admin, took away old-IR-faithful director Bala, signed up with BR, bad mouths Yuvan etc, those are not reasons enough for me to toss this youngster as a kalAchchAra seerazhivu. He may be another Deva but Devas don't engineer kalAchchAra threat as much as Rahmans in the long term, IMO!

There is this hilarious video of CVP composing for ThaaNdavam or something in YouTube, naan adhOda varEn. Biggest satisfaction for me last year was both CVP and Kaaris did not churn out any 'hit' songs. I mean there was no 'ennamO edhO' or a 'otha sollaala' by them. Kaaris gave koogil which was a sumaar hit but CVP washout. All of his albums.
