1988ஆம் ஆண்டு, ‘ஈழ மக்களைக் கொல்லாதே, இந்திய ராணுவமே திரும்பி வா’ என்ற கோரிக்கையை முன்வைத்து, ‘ஈழத்தமிழர் உரிமைப் பாதுகாப்புக் கூட்டமைப்பு’ கையெழுத்து இயக்கம் ஒன்றை நடத்தியது. பல்வேறு துறைகளைச் சார்ந்த புகழ்பெற்ற 300 பேர் அவ்வறிக்கையில் கையொப்பமிட்டனர். நீதியரசர் வி.ஆர்.கிருஷ்ணய்யர், முரசொலி மாறன், சுரதா, வைரமுத்து, மு.மேத்தா, சுந்தரராமசாமி, அசோகமித்திரன், ஞாநி, பாலுமகேந்திரா, கலைப்புலி தாணு உள்ளிட்ட பலர் அன்று கையொப்பமிட்டனர். அந்த வரிசையில் ஒருவராய், இளையராஜாவும் கையெழுத்திட்டிருந்தார் என்பதைப் புதிதாய்ப் புறப்பட்டிருக்கும் ஈழ ஆதரவாளர்கள் அறிவார்களா என்று தெரியவில்லை.

Yeah, unbelievable that they are finalists. That, he/she is so young crap does not hold water becuase I have seen far superior talents on the mallu reality shows. And goes to show how difficult those songs are to sing and how great those original singers were. Saw one girl struggling with maalaiyil yaarO manathOdu pEsa. Gasping for breath so much that I thought she d collapse any minute. Could not even do 10% of what Swarna had done.

And the orchestra - Rs.150 kuduththa idhai vida eppadi better-aa kidaikkum?! Strings section it seems, with 4 untuned violins. Even on this front malluland is far superior. Some real talents behind those instruments too on the reality shows.

Yes. Bassies are the unseen lot. Also in my nitpick list is the (lack of volume) from the drum kit.

BTW, saw 2-3 videos from the Be With Me program. "Ilaiya nila"/"en iniya pon nilave" was just heavenly. Youtube la paakkave mei silirkkudhu, nerla romba pramaadhama irundhirukkum. Unfortunately, full-a illa. Motta harmoniuthula lude vaasikka aaramikkaraan, adhukkulla cut iaruchu

I say blame the parents and other adults involved. Nalla paattukkal laam naama idhu panradhu dhaane. Of course, the kids have a mind of their own and it's better that way also. Aana, adhungalukku competitive edge venumna aambala kural la paadra modern song dhaan paadanum nu fix pannirukkaanga. Dei, adhunga kuzhandhainga da!. Disgusting show, disgusting orchestra, disgusting judging.

Had the privilege of attending the rehearsals yday at Prasad Studios ..
It was truly a magnificient site to witness and listen to such high quality music ..Its amazing to think that some of the greatest music was created in that small room ..
The disappointment however was the king IR not being there , seems he had left to Thiruvannamalai ..
Took some snaps with his portraits and his musicians who were a nice bunch of people.

As App rightly pointed out , the telugu songs are only for the US concert which is organised by Bay Area people (predominantly goltis there i believe)
There are some interesting songs in the concert like Pottu Vaitha , Naan Porandha and a song from Padicha Pulla Poongatre.

I think a host of people will host the show one of them being GVM.

My info is very authentic ..It has definitely been cancelled..
They are likely to take place only after Mar'13 (there could be more venues in US next time)..
In the meanwhile there is a concert planned in Aussieland which is slated at the start of the yr mostly in Feb.
