There should be a 'cross' button next to edit and quote buttons in all your posts. May that is only active for few minutes after you post.

There are delete & delete all buttons below the window that has the listing of messages and each message has a check box as well.

I saw the first 3 episodes of Vijay Tv's 'Idhayam thotta isaignani'. Saw that V_S has already made a post on the spriritual IR thread. Did not want to hijack it, so continuing it here.

Eventhough kObi tried his best to bring down the quality of the discussion, I could really see some spark in Yugendran. Really annoyed that kObi cut him off whenever he started going into the details. Now I am more interested than ever to watch that bass guitar discussion mentioned by KV.

Thankfully for the 3rd episode kObi was kicked out. See what difference that makes. The Sriram dude (h/o Srilekha?) was really good. He let the guests speak which is exactly what kObi should have done given his ignorance on the man and his work. And Rajkiran, really just his first TV appearance ever? He should become a regular. He was absolutely sincere in his words and it showed. And his rendition of pichchai paaththiram, forget the pitching etc., the way he felt what he was singing - absolutely magical. And some great anecdotes and he did narrate them extremely well. Hats off sir.

ippathaan pushpavanam kuppusamy episode paarthEn. When he was crying hearing poovE sempoovE, he automatically passes it to everyone, but didn't expect, sashtaanga namaskaaramE pannitaar. Very moving moment. Vaazhga sir for your heart-felt appreciation.

Thanks Nerd. Yesterday I watched this episode. SPB looked very dull and pulled down a lot, but still he has got that magic in his voice. It is always happy to hear about Raja from SPB, even if we had known about this earlier.

Yes Bala. Very happy for krish. I was not happy at the stone-deaf face of Sriram and asking krish why is he saying that (Maestro is the only composer)? Krish was not able to articulate well, still happy that atleast he had it in him. But when SPB said the same (in another episode), Sriram had no option to listen, but again a stone-deaf face. Understand and acknowledge boss! As Plum said, I observed SPB saying Raja as Asuran and since I am part of it, I am also 'chinna asuran', damn humility. Way to go SPB! SPB talked so many things about Raja.

Well done yEng brigade. Mukesh especially, much needed tribute for Malaysia.

Notice how SriMadhumitha says she likes Raaja as a person also. Here's a *certificate* from someone who has actually worked with him.

Thanks a lot Nerd for the share. Yes Mukesh did a great tribute to MV sir by expressing how versatile he is. Mukesh sang Vaa Vaa VasanthamE very well. I somehow feel many (I am not including Mukesh) are realizing only now the greatness of MV sir. No one can replace him. Irreparable loss for playback singing!

I would say "decent"...but the difference was in that 'sugandhamE' anga thAn MV nikkaRAr!

What a difference a single syllable makes (between a decent singer and a great singer)!

It will be blasphemy if I compare MV sir with Mukesh. First of all, I can never ever expect Mukesh will sing like MV. Every time I cannot keep my pedestal high (especially on judging the singing, except it is a contest) when watching these kind of shows, unless they appear horrendous to our ears. If at all I meant there is a comparison, it will be only out of those five, he definitely sang very well.

V_Sji, yes. Mukesh was really good. I particularly liked his choice of songs to showcase Malaysia's versatality. Velmurugan also did a decent job of ponnappOla aaththaa. Glad to see them not choose certain oft-repeated songs.

Romba thanks nerd for the video. All wer good but why would they have sathya in this??? Blasphemy! Mukesh was particularly good, both with his singing and his insightful comments on patterns in tune for different singers.

Mukesh nailed almost all the nuances in the songs he sang. Vaa Vaa is a very personal favorite- father to daughter song (along with alli thandha boomi )

Perhaps one of the best TV shows about IR (though I hate to see the same old songs)...SPB speaks from the heart (part II of SPB's "idhayam thotta" show with Vijay TV).

The best part is SPB using the opportunity of a "run-of-the-mill-question" (enthappAttukku kashtappatteenga, edhu easy - what a nonsense question to someone with tens of thousands of songs) and flooding out his thoughts!

Yes! In fact, I was heavily clapping when I was seeing him making those statements. It is very late, still very effective and really needed at this hour, when we are celebrating mediocrity.

On today's episode, PVasu was the best. Some really interesting anecdotes shared by him and SB. And panneer pushpangaL was a freebie. Raaja did it for free. OMFGAreYouFinKiddingME? Panneer PushpangaL, YES!! Even if you give millions to other MDs can they match the output?!
