My favorite song of Mano after Shenbagame and Nee oru kaadhal sangeetham. Such a young voice back then. Though his voice was reminiscent of SPB, his voice was different from the mighty singer's and hence easily identifiable. His nasal undertone was actually good.

I remember Mano's (early 90's or late 80's interview) saying that this was his first song. Wondering if it was recorded first but the movie released much later.

I have no idea about the story line of this movie / situation of the song.

I don't think the video of the song could be found (JJ movie - "thavikkuthu thayanguthu" song is on YT but not the others. Not sure if the movie is on web somewhere).

Singers are Mano and Swarnalatha. But, yes, both (Swarnalatha and Minmini) voices have so much of similarity that they sound in UNISON in songs like Manamagale and Maasaru ponne from Devar Magan.
