Not unhappy that Srini is being 'targeted', he wasn't just asking for it, he literally begged for it with his attitude. But removing him alone is not going to solve the problem. Was he the ONLY obstacle to an independent inquiry of BCCI's affairs? C'mon!

^^^ Well, but people should also know better than to invest too much emotionally in such events. I was saying at least since 2010 or 11 that IPL was just WWF and it would make a lot of people defensive. "What evidence do you have?", "Don't make baseless allegations", blah blah. Yeah, yeah, if you really expect Srini mama or MSD to sign a written confession, then I dare say even Genghis Khan can never be held guilty. It's ok if kids get hooked to IPL and then feel disillusioned; that's just a part of growing up. But surely those of us who were around in 2000 should know better. Treat it as entertainment and maintain a healthy detachment because cricket is pretty rotten and has been at least since the time they began the Sharjah tournament in the 80s, if not earlier. I would strongly advocate fans not to buy international flight tickets to watch the Indian team wherever they go. And if you really must, remember you are doing it for the kicks. Don't expect your passion to be respected, much less repaid.

Cricket itself is not a national interest, it is just a pastime. It's high time the country put things in perspective. TOI was arguing that IPL is India's biggest sporting brand and it should not be sabotaged. Er, if dumbslog is our biggest brand, it is really not something to be particularly proud of. I don't understand this new thing about feeling proud about the dollar revenue of something or someone.

As much as I criticize Dhoni, calling you out there. Dhoni walked in with Kohli out and game in the balance. Yuvi came in with Gambhir out and India almost there. But yes, Dhoni taking Yuvi's limelight is a fair, albeit moot, point. But Dhoni did well with the game in balance with Gambhir.

clearly Dhoni always picks/chooses his moments of glory, against Steyn gun in the semis he hid behind Rainman..
with Dhoni being a piss poorer bat in t20s that move is understandable, in the finals he couldn't resist
the temptation of glory and promoted himself to helicopter his way through for cheap runs against Lingam and stamp his
authority in the tournament finals but ended up with helicopter vandi satham..his 'follow the ball' captaincy
against Mahela in the initial overs was a sight to behold wish Usain bhai was commentating then.

against similar opposition/conditions/bowling attack Kohls
did a much better job in defending a moderate total in Asia cup..Dhoni is a liability in t20s, cowlashers
in Uttapam/Rayudu should replace him..7 yrs is bloody long time for any captain.

P.S Gangs was trying his darndest to RJinx Dhoni/India and that glee when SL won laugh
