Movie could possibly be boring (I suspected it with that "bus" scene getting showcased for ennOdu vA vA, on such a big event) but targetting IR in a review like this clearly showcases the person's bias. (yArO manadhaLavil romba bAdhikkappatta HCARRF-cum-HCIRH)

I understand your love and expectation for this movie to become a hit especially for IR. I know I am talking to early without seeing the film. To be honest, I was expecting this, when he started re-shooting after he got the kind of songs which he never expected in his life. Also surprisingly he never mentioned anything regarding the background score. I was thinking the BGM would also be performed by the same team. All these clearly said that this movie didn't have anything concrete. Music is the only driving factor for the movie. I am still imagining what situations Gautam would have told to Raja to get Raja inspired to score like this. As I always say, Maestro needs nothing to inspire him, except the only difference here is, he was given a free-hand to choose whatever he needs to compose. That itself told me that Gautam was relying heavily only on music, nothing else. We should take this film as just a tribute from an IR fan. Fate-wise it is interesting. He chose a big hit song from a flop movie as his title, which again proves that he got songs a big hit for a... . Definitely would like to prove that wrong.

Moral of the story:
1. Please don't choose the title of any film with the starting lines of these songs.
2. Songs pOthum paa enakku, for a lifetime!.

GVM/IR both won't lose anything. GVM should be on cloud 9 with the musical output and Raaja woulnt give a damn. But I really wanted the film to be a hit so that the music lives longer among the general public. Thankfully the critical reception of the music was excellent. And it had moderate commercial success too. Now that the movie has failed(?) the songs will be forgotten quickly. The songs surely deserve more than this.

But I am thinking if Raaja had scored for VTV andha padamum oothirukkumO ennavO.. That was sl...ow as hell too. Theater-la ennaiya thaviRa yaarukkumE pudikkalai. In fact the 2nd half turned out to be a heckler's delight. But it had decent success.

Yes, I agree. Those days irrespective of the movie becoming success, songs were hits and reached public. Nowadays, as you say, movie need to be a hit for songs to capture the public (atleast most of the time). It would have been good for IR especially if it would have happened. I still can't comment becos yet to watch the film(booked fri(today) night) But i feel that GVM shud have put more effort to come up with an interesting plot/story. Afterall its his own production and had spent a good amount in Audio launch too. Its like missing a golden opportunity for him.

Intha Sams vera twitterla, Nithya character will shock you, shake you nnu ennamo Serious character design ngara maathiri pesuchi. Also GVM explained something as if there is some heavy surprise in this film.

Thats why i thot, that apart from all this Audio becoming aSuperDuper hit, he has a great story line. Also i thot, if he is attempting a luv story as soon as VTV, that too his home production, i guessed he has some interesting stuff on hand. Added to that, i was thinking, he wud have went to Raja ONLY after having a pretty decent story to satisfy him....

Anyway cannot miss the oppurtunity of listening to those louuly 8 songs on the state-of-the-art theater in which it has been released. Padam pudikkalainnaa kaNNa mooda vENdiyadhudhaan. Sam irukkadhunaala, andha nilamaiyum varaadhu I guess

Giving the benefit of doubt, the movie may can become decent hit too! Who knows, even Sam, Music, Santhanam themselves can pull the move to certain extent. Its too early to judge based on minimum reviews. Lets see..

Personally hated the telugu version(Per marandhu pochu) of VTV,and I am a Simbu family(he and his dad are untolerable) hater,no way I will watch VTV in Tamil neither will I watch this.

But Bala,why helmet?IR would hardly be responsible for this film's failure(if the initial reactions are anything to go by) and am sure neither you nor anybody else here is a GVM fan.

Seemed to be lots of underappreciation for Jiiva. The feller is catching up, slowly, but surely. Nambikkai natchathiram, for me, who is about end-result rather than effort.

Choice of films are quite poor. Does that make him a lesser actor than, say, Simbhu? I don't know about others, but I think he is really up there, the best of his generation. Unfortunately, as my luck would dictate, he might just be another Madhavan

Yeah, he can be compared to Madhavan, but Maddy is better in terms of acting skills, also Madhavan did not have this much failures since he don't accept all the offers like Jiiva..

Possible,a bad movie invariably affects the technicians too but outstanding music will rise above all that.

Will that happen in this case,the next few days will tell.

But the haters who will shut up if the film works(chance irukka?)will get an opportunity to pass snide remarks in case of a disaster,Unavoidable.

Hope KH passes the test next month,he and we have put too much at stake.
