Gangs of wasseypur - BGM Scor GV Prakash

GV prakash is credited for the background score in the movie, but the actual music was produced by Sanjay.C.

The composer was given the job to do the background score (Which is the only musical work for this movie since it didnt have any songs) but he sub contracts that to another guy. Watching the video i came to know that Anniyan, Kakha Kakha BGM was done by this guy.

Interesting - this guy is s/o Chandrasekar (who played that famous 'iLaya nilA' postlude) and nephew of Puru (rAsA's rhythm section in-charge)...

Only small correction here is the film GOW (part 1 and part 2) had huge number of songs tuned by Sneha Khanwalkar by touring to different places in Punjab, Banaras and getting unique sounds and tunes from the natives of those lands. So nothing is original when it comes to music nowadays.

nothing surprising. some MDs are shrewd enough to cloud the contributions of others in various means and manners. the juniors are not smart enough.. :-)
