Musicalaya happens to have the vinyl covers of "sathyavAn sardArji" (stumbled upon this when getting some pictures for the Learn to READ Malayalam thread)...

Well, sardArji was Kamal's teasing of Sridevi (due to facial hair, as per the TV program above)...the movie's actual name was 'sathyavAn sAvithri' Smile

An extremely enjoyable, not-to-be-missed, blog post

Interesting to read a review of this movie from such a woman's perspective.

Her conclusion:

Worth seeing for the lovely songs, the subtle comedy scenes and for Sridevi's incredible performance as Kokila. It also forces you to ask yourself a lot of serious questions! No matter how disturbed I am by Mani's behaviour in this movie, it still remains in my favorite movies list for the lighthearted moments in the first half of the film!
