the way Jogi Sharma was toying with Ajinkya makes me wonder if he is yet another product of Mumbai hype machinery.

wish Sach completes the Ranji season, ESS will probably get more TRP than Ten broadcasting mini SA series.

Sanju is the best of the lot - time to play shots, etc (Rohit Sharma 2.0 Laughing). Baba is being talked up for his consistency but national selection will be solely based on his IPL performances

TN's next match is with MP on Ishwar Pandey territory. Should be a good contest thumbsup

their pickup is also very similar, too much hype though even Ian Bishop is following his Ranji scores silent Baba is working on his offies going by his wisden interview and SpiceBoxofEarth reckons Baba is more mature, good contest to keeps tabs on

As usual, pathetic bowling attack of TN.
Obviously, the batsmen cannot put 600 on the board every time.
This is the fate of a team with fine batsmen but without decent bowlers.

Who will be TN's Dhoni, with super luck to have poor opponents and pliant board giving him everything he wants in his favour, who will later be hailed as greatest captain for just being lucky despite being a poor cricketer with a poor cricketing brain?

yov D(K) enna kezhavanaar'a Smile

caught some bits of match over the weekend, insipid TN bowling aside, watching Pujara bat live isn't much of spectacle, entha algorithmic approach to batting is so much like Eng bats of yore , he is effective in what he does but never did he play a shot which makes you sit up and notice.
may be a better bowling unit would have got him out of his banal algorithmic approach.

Mvijay ought to be most hated Indian cricketer ever, in between those drop catches/Balaji's stares/crowd got really under his skin. total family damage Sad

Finally bowlers come good on a supposed minefield. Hopefully batsmen take the gauntlet and at least score close to 300 if the track is indeed a minefield.

from a sporting wicket to a minefield, only Parthasarathy possible Smile

Engagement seems to have done wonders Suspect

Indeed, had Tamil Nadu shown a little more alacrity in grabbing their chances, they would have found themselves in an even stronger position. Dinesh Karthik behind the stumps was the biggest culprit, putting down two catches and missing a simple stumping chance after Aswin Crist, the tall paceman, had set the tone by spilling Dhiren Mistry when the batsman had lucked his way to 34.
Karthik also fumbled while gathering a couple of throws that might have resulted in run outs, though it wasn’t he alone who had a bad day in office. Coupled with the Baroda batsmen, umpires VK Sharma and NS Sidhu too would love to forget Day One in a hurry. Sharma ruled Yusuf Pathan not out when the batsman had clearly nicked Shah to Karthik when he had scored only three runs, while Sidhu compensated for that decision by sending the Baroda captain on his way when he inside edged Malolan on to his pads.

Victory even after half a day gone for rain nu peethuvaangaLe. But then, the better team on the minefield wins Razz I thoroughly doubt if this bowling unit can stand across India in all conditions (ennatha all conditions, minefield or cement tracks with the occasional seaming ones up North in winter) and win us games.
