A student from Berkeley CA writes on how she had sex on campus!!. Jeez what a great country. Very Happy Will miss you foreva!!! Thanks to compli fb.

College sex: Berkeley edition
Sex on Tuesday
BY NADIA CHO | STAFFLAST UPDATED NOVEMBER 26, 2012

Because I couldn’t afford to fly home the day before Thanksgiving this past week, I spent all of Wednesday in Berkeley. I only had one class that day, and the campus was marvelously empty. So at around 4:20 p.m., I called up my partner, and as two mischievous UC Berkeley students would, we set out on a nice little sex tour through campus. Since I started my column off a few months ago writing about a sexy encounter with a lady, I’ll end my classy kissing-and-telling with some afternoon delight I had with a man.

In response to the spring 2012 “Sex on campus: actually doable?” column, yes — having sex on campus is actually very doable, and it’s lots of fun. It’s also surprisingly easy.

That particular column brought up concerns about not getting to “finish” when doing it in a public place. Maybe I’m just not ambitious enough to have goal-oriented sex, but sex isn’t always about cumming and having orgasms. Sometimes it’s for shits and giggles. Having expectations and goals can ruin the fun of it. Besides, it’s probably not a good idea to ejaculate in public places — just saying. Keep this in mind should you ever attempt sex on campus.

I’ve always had the cliched fantasy of having sex in Main Stacks, so we wasted no time in heading there first. The trick to doing it in Stacks is to go at a time when there won’t be a lot of people studying at the same time and to pick a section of books that people won’t ever think to look up. Like the British Royal Academy archives.

We decided that, out of the millions of books in the library, the shelves full of books on religion seemed like the best place to fuck. We moved the adjacent shelves to block our location so that we couldn’t be seen from the rows on either side. I liked having our shelves of choice close to each other so that the setting was nice and cozy.

It’s best to have some empty shelves toward the bottom so that you can climb them and feel like Spider-Man while your partner penetrates you standing up. You can even re-enact the awesome sex scene from the film Atonement. I definitely love a man who can fuck well while standing up.

The risk of getting caught is what makes having sex in public so exciting. Without that, there wouldn’t be any novelty in doing it. It’s fun to challenge yourself to not make any noise while having sex. There were two instances in which people walked by the shelves between which my partner and I were going at it hard-core. It was like a game — having to frantically put our clothes back on and immediately pretending to be interested in the data collections of the European Union while panting and giggling hysterically.

For a place to have loud ass-slapping sex, the classrooms in the dungeons of Moffitt served us well after Main Stacks because the ground floor of Moffitt was completely deserted. It felt great to have sex in a classroom that I used to hate sitting in for hours without cellphone reception.

Doing role play involving a student-teacher or GSI in a classroom like this one is LEGIT. It gives you an idea of how fantastic it would be if your hot GSI pounded you on the front desk every time you forgot to turn in a homework assignment.

The next building I chose to desecrate with my perverse ways was Wurster, which happens to be my least favorite building after Evans. Something I learned that day that blew my mind is that there are classrooms in Wurster that lock. With all that privacy, I had just as much fun banging as I did walking around classrooms in lingerie and writing dirty things on chalkboards.

For those whose bucket lists include the item “have sex on campus,” the inspirational message from my classy afternoon is: Just do it. You might find that it’s senior year already and that you never took advantage of all those lunch hours, Saturday nights and Wednesdays before Thanksgiving during which there were probably very few people in the libraries or buildings on campus.

Don’t be scared. Make the screw session worth getting caught, and remember that you are definitely not the first person to have had sex on campus, nor will you be the last.

Other than providing fun places to get down, Berkeley is the best place to explore your sexuality. Our school is a predominantly safe and accepting space with many places, people and resources to help you discover your sexual self. It is the place where I learned what it means to be queer, to recognize the presence of patriarchy, to attempt polyamory and to become more confident in my sexuality so I could go ahead with new experiences — attending naked parties and orgies and writing a sex column, just to name a few.

Learn to appreciate your sexy side and experience a few frisky things during your time here. Take the Female Sexuality DeCal, have sex in Morrison, do the naked run and talk to people who are willing to share their personal experiences. The wide acceptance and freedom of open sexual expression are among the greatest legacies we have the opportunity to uphold at this university.

‘Chennai no. 4 among 5 cities for quality of life’

On a list of 221 global cities surveyed, Chennai has been ranked 150, for the quality of living it provides.

The survey, conducted by Mercer, an international consultancy firm, studied five Indian cities and ranked Bangalore the best, followed by New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and finally, Kolkata.

The annual survey ranks the living conditions in cities based on parameters such as the political and social environment, socio-cultural environment as well as medical and educational facilities among 39 such factors. This year, the survey also ranked the infrastructure, specifically with regard to water, electricity, communication services, public transportation, and intra-city and international connectivity.

The survey primarily aims to help multi-national corporations post their employees in global cities, and help them determine their structure of compensation and incentives based on the quality of life available. For instance, companies would have to pay a lesser ‘hardship allowance’ to its employees in a city which ranks higher on the list.

The findings of the survey may have a direct implication on foreign companies looking to post employees in Chennai, as it places the city higher only to Kolkatta, despite the =Chennai, and Tamil Nadu being a forerunner in inviting foreign investment.

Bangalore on the other hand, has risen in the ratings from 141 in 2011, to 139 this year. In terms of city infrastructure, Mumbai trumps Bangalore, the survey reveals.

Bindu Menon, country-head, relocation services, Global Adjustments, a company working with expatriates, is not surprised by the findings. She said that Bangalore has an upper hand primarily because of the choice in international schools. “We only have one good international school in the city, and it is quite expensive,” she said, adding that there was a dire need for more choices and several good Cambridge-curriculum schools in the city.

Pascal Dupuis, general manager, The Leela Palace, Chennai, said, has been living in the city for close to one-and-a-half years. What he values most is that “almost all the expatriates know each other”, unlike New Delhi or Mumbai, where the community is spread apart. “There is the sea too, and it is a very agreeable city to live in. It is also well-connected in terms of international flights,” he said. However, for him Bangalore scores because of the schools and the weather.

Clio Marcetti, whose family has been running a popular Italian restaurant in the city for over a decade, felt that in terms of public transport, no city beats Mumbai. “But the traffic situation in Chennai is far better than in Bangalore,” she said.

Have been seeing this doing the rounds for quite some time now in the net.

It
turns out, THC when ingested in highly concentrated forms (such as
EATING CANNABIS OIL) will attack any mutated cells in your body while
strengthening and rejuvenating the healthy cells.

The PERFECT
Cure for Cancer: it works fast, it works well, it works on many
different forms of Cancer in ALL stages and it has ZERO harmful side
effects. (Unlike Chemo which deteriorates your entire body and kills 1
in 5 patients). Not only that, but it dissolves ALL forms of tumors and
can even combat superbugs like MRSA.

Intelligent people realize
that the scientific method does not work by *disproving* information or
people. Cannabinoids are listed on the National National Cancer
Institute website and once you see how fast the cure works the cognitive
dissonance wears off pretty quickly. One needs to remember that
*ignore* is the root word of "ignorance"...

PROOF that the government KNOWS
►National National Cancer Institute: www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/pdq/cam/cannabis/healthprofessional/page4
►US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health's PUBMED: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17952650

If you want to know more, you should Google 'THC Cures Cancer'. You
will see that there are THOUSANDS of published SCIENTIFIC studies,
articles, books and documentaries on the subject. I'd start with the
documentaries here:

SKV would say Bullet shot cures cancer ;-)

Cheap shot apart:

I know atleast two international schools in Chennai. Seems like a deliberate anti-Chennai survey. Chennai is bad yet but infinitely preferrable to Bangalore even with my limited experience of Bangalore. I'd rate Mumbai ahead overall but kalAcharam namma oorula dhAnga irukku....adhu oNyathukkAgavE ingE irukkalAM
(Although we are going the Andhra way now with Ilayathalapathy kakka valippu taking the name of dance and random pop music being celebrated as much as proper ones in pop consciousness...not far away from the Andhra Pradesh level of deterioration....)

This not just interesting stuff but also serious matter:
http://www.nrdc.org/food/files/wasted-food-IP.pdf

While one may not read the complete report, it is necessary that at least the hightlighted portions (illustrations / boxes etc) are given attention & serious consideration!

e.g.:

For the average U.S. household of
four, food waste translates into
an estimated $1,350 to $2,275 in
annual losses

India is now bringing big retailers in and one of the oft-heard-justifications is "cold-storage" and thus saving of produce. While the current gov mechanism is paridhAbam, the incoming "culture" isn't better either.

We used to be prudent in our home in this area but not so good as of late. I see a lot of room for improvement and have already started addressing (changing some buying methods / making minor adjustments at kitchen level etc).

After all, "charity" begins at home Smile

“I am the left brain. I am a scientist. A mathematician. I love the familiar. I categorize. I am accurate. Linear. Analytical. Strategic. I am practical. Always in control. A master of words and language. Realistic. I calculate equations and play with numbers. I am order. I am logic. I know exactly who I am.”

“I am the right brain. I am creativity. A free spirit. I am passion. Yearning. Sensuality. I am the sound of roaring laughter. I am taste. The feeling of sand beneath bare feat. I am movement. Vivid colors. I am the urge to paint on an empty canvas. I am boundless imagination. Art. Poetry. I sense. I feel. I am everything I wanted to be.”

We are all both left and right brain at different times and at different balances.[

SS, logically yes, many great mathematicians/musicians of yore have been left handed alluding to greater use of left hemisphere but left handed peeps do have a greater chance of mental retardation/dyslexia(case in point Abhishek Bachchan) so it cuts both ways Smile

Me & my virtual assistant
Javed Anwer, TNN Dec 16, 2012, 06.26AM IST

One day in early September when Aatif Sumar was in office , his phone beeped and vibrated. He picked up the device - a Galaxy Nexus - thinking he had got an SMS. Instead, he found a virtual card that not only told him it was time to leave for home, but even drew a route he could take, the traffic condition there and the estimated time it would take. The card was from Google Now, a virtual assistant built inside smartphones that runs on Android 4.1 or a higher version.

"I didn't ask my phone for any route. I never told it about my office or the location of my home," says a surprised Aatif. Looks like he didn't have to. Google Now is a newage virtual assistant. "It uses the time of day, your location, and its history to show you what the traffic on your commute will be like," says a Google spokesperson. "Informational cards appear when you're out and when they're needed most."

Aatif had upgraded his phone to Android 4.1 in August. For a few weeks, the phone observed and learned. "Apparently, it learned my schedule. The place where I spent my nights became my home. The places where I spent my weekdays became my office," says Aatif.

iri, a virtual assistant from Apple available to all iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 users, has a flashier personality. To begin with, it wants you to talk to it. If your questions are interesting you could get an interesting answer from Siri too. Saying "I love you" may earn you a reprimand - "Do you say that to all your phones" . If you mean business, Siri seems equally adept. It can dial up numbers saved in your phone, take down your messages and send them to 'your wife' . It can tell you the weather of the day and set up your appointments.

Artificial intelligence is on the upswing. Virtual assistants have added contexts. To Siri, you can simply say, "Call my daughter" and you don't have to repeat the name again and again.

Google Now also connects the dots. Every morning when Rushabh Vora, a sophomore student in Los Angeles wakes up, Google Now shows him the exchange rate for rupee in terms of dollars and the weather of Mumbai, where his parents live.

When Rushabh searches for information on Manchester United on Google, the app tries to make sense of it. "If Manchester United is playing and I am traveling, Google Now shows me the score believing I am interested in Manchester United," he says.
